New community service coordinator emphasizes resilience

Staff Sgt. Vallerie Barnes, 334th Training Squadron, prepares her Airmen to march from Avery Manor to the Levitow Training Support Facility for in-processing Oct. 29, 2013, at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. Barnes won the Dragon Award for outstanding military training leader for September. One MTL is nominated from each of the four squadrons that train non-prior service students. Nominees take a knowledge test of the Air Force Instruction that governs the MTL job and perform control of flight marching and open ranks.
