Keesler bolsters security in Back Bay
Restricted area buoys are placed on a pier at The Marina at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, May 23, 2018. Keesler and the Department of Marine Resources partnered to install 15 buoys in the Biloxi Back Bay 150 feet from the Keesler shore line as an added base security measure. This project took almost two years of research and coordination with the 81st Security Forces Squadron Anti-terrorism Office, 81st Training Wing Legal Office, the state of Mississippi as well as the Army Corps of Engineers in Washington, D.C.
