SAPR office raises awareness for Sexual Assault Awareness Month

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Cheyenne Green, 81st Training Support Squadron curriculum developer, (right) and Staff Sgts. Julie Minjarez, 85th Engineering Installation Squadron project manager, and Lionyann Maynard, 85th EIS radio frequency transmissions systems technician, place teal colored flags in the ground for Sexual Assault Awareness Month near the Keesler Base Exchange satellite pharmacy on Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, April 2, 2019. Each flag represents five Department of Defense members who reported being sexually assaulted in fiscal year 2017. The 1,354 flag display will be moved to several locations around the base throughout the month. Keesler's Sexual Assault Prevention and Response office provides sexual assault response coordinators and victim advocates to assist victims and survivors of sexual assault.
