Vietnam veteran's brother receives Gold Star Family membership
Ashton Belcher, brother of U.S Air Force Maj. Robert Belcher, shares a story about his brother with Col. Debra Lovette, 81st Training Wing commander, and Chief Master Sgt. David Pizzuto, 81st TRW command chief, inside the Visitors Center at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, April 26, 2019. Robert was a F-4 pilot who served during the Vietnam War and was placed in POW/MIA status following his disappearance while on a mission to mark targets in 1969. As a surviving brother of a POW/MIA service member, Ashton is allowed to obtain a Gold Star Family Member ID card for recognition and installation access so that he can attend events and access Airman & Family Readiness Center referral services.
