81st LRS welcomes new commander

Maj. Matthew Roberts, incoming 81st Logistics Readiness Squadron commander, took command from Lt. Col. Melissa Rativa, outgoing 81st LRS commander, during a change of command ceremony here  May 23.

Col. Danny Davis, 81st Mission Support Group commander, presided over the ceremony.

Roberts came to Keesler Air Force Base from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, where he served as the Air Force Institute of Technology professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

"To the men and women of the 81st LRS I am beyond excited to be your commander," said Roberts.

Rativa expressed her gratitude to the men and women of the 81st LRS in her final address as commander. 

"There's been no greater professional glory in my life and absolute privilege than to lead and serve as the 81st LRS commander," said Rativa.
