KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- Keesler Air Force Base launched a new app Dec. 13 that will help keep users up-to-date with base events and activities.

The free My Military Communities app provides users with a one-stop shop for events and activities taking place on base. Users would normally have to search multiple Facebook pages to find information about events hosted by different organizations. The app simplifies this process, by combining information and listing the events and details on mobile devices.

Several features of the app include the ability to add events from the app to the mobile device's calendar and quick-dial Airmen Against Drunk Driving and the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response office.

MyMC2 also has a filter system that can tailor the events shown to specific activities, categories or groups.

To download the app to a mobile device, go to an app store and search "MyMC2." Click "download" and wait for the app to be installed. Once installed, open the app then select "Keesler AFB, MS" and the app is ready to go.
