Gators claim 2011 Commanders Trophy Published Dec. 9, 2011 By Susan Griggs 81st Training Wing Public Affairs KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- The 334th Training Squadron claimed the 2011 Commander's Trophy for intramural sports Dec. 1 at the Bay Breeze Event Center. Lt. Col. Jeffrey McLemore, 334th TRS commander, accepted the trophy on behalf of the Gators from Brig. Gen. Andrew Mueller, 81st Training Wing commander. The Gators earned 188 points this year, followed by the 338th TRS Dark Knights with 126 and the 81st Logistic Readiness Squadron with 111. To claim annual honors, the 334th TRS placed in five of seven intramural sports offered - first place overall and second place in division for softball, first place in division for soccer, second place overall and in division for flag football, second place in division for volleyball and third place in division for basketball. The squadron's fitness and sports representative also attended all quarterly meetings.
