Biloxi schools present parent academy Published April 7, 2011 81st Training Wing Public Affairs KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- The Biloxi Public School District plans a Parent Academy session, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Biloxi Family Resource Center at Lopez School, 140 St. John Avenue, Biloxi. Parking is available on Wilkes Avenue on the south side of the building. The topic of this session is standardized student tests. "Parent Academy sessions are designed to help parents and guardians better understand the many programs, resources, and curriculum offered to their children," said Susan Hunt, the school district's parent coordinator. "Our goal is to stay connected with parents and the community as we work toward providing the best education possible." Food, door prizes and child care are offered.
