KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- October 26, Keesler was inspected during a major accident response exercise. In the scenerio a C-130J made a hard landing, lost engine power and crashed into a six-passenger van, coming to rest on the Triangle track north of Alho Manor. The scenario also included a spill from chemicals on the aircraft, hydraulic fluid and JP-8 fuel. Three people "died" and 30 were "injured" in the accident. This MARE was a portion of this week's Air Education and Training Command Compliance Inspection.
