NOAA conducting weather tests on Gulf Coast Published July 8, 2010 81st Training Wing Antiterrorism KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is conducting weather tests on the Gulf Coast July 29 through August 15 near Moss Point, Miss. These tests involve weather balloons which carry small payloads of scientific instruments. Payloads may return to earth in a broad area including Gulfport, Biloxi and Mobile. Information on the project and procedures to safely store and return the instrument package are located on the exterior of the package.
