Medics mourn passing of lab employee

Raymond Collins, 81st Diagnostics and Therapeutics Squadron, died June 16 at his home in Ocean Springs.

Mr. Collins, 43, was a medical laboratory technician at the Keesler Hospital for the past 16 years.

He was born in Manchester, N.H., where his father was stationed with the Air Force. For the past 33 years, he lived in Biloxi and Ocean Springs.

Survivors include his parents, Loran and Ann Collins of DeKalb, Miss.; a brother, Robert (Bob) Collins, of Daphne, Ala; a nephew, a niece and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His funeral was Tuesday in Kemper County, Miss.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
