Wingman Day 2009 Published Jan. 6, 2010 By Keesler News Staff KEESLER AFB, Ms. -- Dec. 17, Keesler observed Wingman Day as a reminder to take care of each other as the peak of the holiday season approached. As Lt. Col. Sean Gallagher, 81st Mission Support Group deputy commander, explained, Wingman Day is a day to emphasize the well-being of fellow Airmen. "Wingman Day gives us that time to get to know our wingman better and provide support from an Air Force family perspective," he said. He also noted it was a time to promote safety on and off the job, as well as a time to bond with fellow Airmen. Airman came together for exercises for units and individuals, including team-building activities and explanation of services available from support agencies.
