Commander uses new blog to communicate with personnel Published Sept. 21, 2009 By Senior Airman Eric Summers Jr. 81st Training Wing Public Affairs KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- Keesler has established a new form of communication for personnel to share information, ask questions and discuss answers. Keesler's new blog, called Keesler Commander's Corner, was developed by the wing commander as a two-way communication tool. "I'm considering using this blog as a method to offer quick answers to the questions that might come in via the traditional Commander's Action Line," said Brig. Gen. Ian Dickinson, 81st Training Wing commander. "My thought is that we would potentially get to a situation where the right action agents in the community would be able to answer the questions more quickly than the typical 'staffing' that occurs to answer the messages recorded on the action line," the general explained. "I can and will guide the discussion and ensure I am comfortable with the 'final answer,'" he added. The blog will be updated constantly. Currently, blog postings include answers to questions from the late July and early August commander's calls. To view the blog, log on to http://www.intelink.gov/ blogs/_keeslercorner.
