The 338th Training Squadron claimed its first overall drill win of the season Friday, placing first in both open ranks inspection and regulation drill.

The Dark Knights' victory made the quest for the annual drill down title to be announced in January even more interesting. The 334th TRS Gators earned the top spot in the February and September competitions, and the 332nd TRS Mad Dogs came in first in the April drill down. Each category and placement carries a different number of points.
In Friday's contest, the Gators came in second overall and was the only team to place in all three categories - first in freestyle drill and third in open ranks and regulation drill.
The 336th TRS Red Wolves finished third overall, with a second in regulation drill and third in freestyle.

The 335th TRS Bulls took second place in open ranks and freestyle.
The Mad Dogs didn't place in any category this time around.

Maj. Gen. Al Flowers, 2nd Air Force commander, was the officiating officer.

Winning team members for the Dark Knights are Airmen Basic Joseph Baran, Justin Bowden, Helena Frye, Nathan Grilley, Daniel Groff, Bryan Kelley, John Magee, Andrew O'Malley, Randolph Patterson and Kimberly Walton; Airmen Corey Houpt and Joshua Undem, and Airmen 1st Class Christine Hinshaw, Adalys Ramirez-Amador and Stephen Tercino.
