Friday Jackson County Chamber of Commerce Veterans Day observance -- 11 a.m., downtown Moss Point. Col. Richard Pierce, 81st Training Wing vice commander, is the keynote speaker. For more information, call Carla Todd, 763-4810. Saturday Mississippi Gulf Coast's eighth annual Veterans Day parade -- 11 a.m., downtown Gulfport. The parade route begins at the intersection of 19th Street and Highway 49 and ends at the Harrison County courthouse on Highway 49. Col. Greg and Charlene Touhill, 81st TRW commander and his wife, represent Keesler, along with Col. Rodney and Nina Croslen, 81st Mission Support Group commander and his wife, and the American flag team, the 338th Training Squadron's state flag team and the 81st Training Group's drum and bugle corps. American Legion Post 33's Veterans Day observance -- 11 a.m., Biloxi Small Craft Harbor, Highway 90 at Main Street. Colonel Pierce delivers the keynote speech and the color guard posts the flags. A reception follows at the post home, 131 Lameuse Street. American Legion Post 119's Veterans Day observance -- 2 p.m., old train station west of Hancock Bank on 14th Street, Gulfport. The color guard participates.
