Keesler is scheduled to host an installment of the Air Force Storytellers program Feb. 5 at 3:30 p.m. at the Vandenberg Community Center.

The program will feature four Keesler noncommissioned officers who will share their stories of struggle, resilience and perseverance through civilian and military life.

The event is free to attend and all permanent party personnel, Defense Department and contractor civilians are encouraged to attend.

Created in 2012, Storytellers is an open forum-style event designed to let Airmen share their personal stories in a relaxed, informal environment.

"Storytellers gives a stage to resilient Airmen across the Air Force," said Master Sgt. Brian Johns, 81st Training Wing career assistance advisor and base Storytellers lead coordinator. "When you hear their stories, you'll be moved by their toughness and perseverance to overcome personal struggles while still being outstanding Airmen and leaders."

"This program helps strengthen the Air Force as a culture and a family by taking a raw, personal approach to inspire resiliency, motivation and pride in our wingmen," added Tech. Sgt. Seth Gressley, 335th Training Squadron precision measurement equipment laboratory instructor supervisor and base Storytellers organizer.
