Keesler hosts murder mystery dinner theater Published Feb. 4, 2014 By Staff Sgt. "I Love You To Death," is a murder mystery dinner show that will take place in the Bay Breeze Event Center ballroom Feb. 14. Doors open at 6 p.m., with dinner and the show starting at 7 p.m. Unlike typical shows where the audience watches a performance, this one encourages audience participation. "'I Love You To Death' promises an intimate look at the back-stabbing, carnal-craving, ego-ripping, guilt-denying world of modern-day romance writers," said Mike Lacy, the shows director and producer. "It's all fun and fable until someone gets murdered. Who will it be? Who will be the culprit? The audience will find out -- but not before trying to guess the answer." This isn't Mike's first time performing at Keesler, and he's looking forward to the experience, he said. "I've acted in many other dinner theater productions at Keesler, including two I've written: "Death By Bananas" and "America's Got Murder," said Lacy. "The audiences here are so wonderful and receptive. And Heather Ramey and the staff at the Bay Breeze Event Center are always accommodating. We always have a great time." Two Keesler members will also be performing in the show, Barb Medlock, outdoor recreation center director and Barry Newman, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response program coordinator. "I have a lot of fun with these shows," said Newman. "They're good fun for the audience as well with participation. They're a lot of fun to do and a lot of fun to watch." Tickets for the event are $30 for Air Force Club members and $35 for nonmembers. To purchase tickets or reserve a table, call 377-1690.
