117 Keesler Airmen earn CCAF Published Nov. 19, 2013 KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss -- The Community College of the Air Force presented 133 associate degrees to 117 enlisted members at the Fall 2013 Commencement Ceremony Nov 12, at Bay Breeze Event Center. Col. Rene Romero, 81st Training Wing vice commander, presented the diplomas, and Senior Master Sgt. Richard Parsons, Det. 6, 366th Training Squadron superintendent, , gave the commencement address. All 45 graduates that attended the CCAF Graduation Ceremony received an Embry Riddle Aeronautical University $200.00 scholarship that can be applied to textbooks and supply costs. Five graduates received additional awards during the ceremony. Awards included $400 Air Force Association Pitsenbarger Awards, $200 Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Excellence Awards, $100 University of Southern Mississippi Textbook Scholarship Awards and $100 William Carey University Excellence Awards Staff Sgt. Miguel Alicea Candelario, 366th TRS,Staff Sgt. Dustin Allred, 334th TRS, and Staff Sgt. Clinton Phifer, 338th TRS received a Pitsenbarger Award, an Embry-Riddle University Award and a William Carey University Award. Senior Airman Jason Boyd, 81st Medical Operations Squadron and Tech. Sgt. Justin Brown, 338th Training Squadron, received an Embry-Riddle University Award and a University of Southern Mississippi Award.
