The 81st Force Support Squadron and the 403rd FSS merged mission capabilities to become the Total Force Support Squadron March 8, 2016, here.

This process co-located the two squadrons, integrated all force support functions to boost their capabilities and will not affect services for Airmen and their dependents, according to Maj. Tami Kidd, 81st FSS operations officer.

Keesler personnel will not have any adverse effects in customer service due to the merger.

“Costumer service will be much better after the merger,” said Maj. Teresa King, 81st FSS commander. “Our goal is to to bring everything together in one location to allow the costumer to get their answers and tasks done in one location.”

Members of Team Keesler will have several ways to benefit from the new merger.

“The merger will help streamline costumer support and reduce the redundancy of services as well as provide options for service members moving between reserve and active status,” said Kidd.

Members from each squadron will have all previously offered services available in their new joined location at the Sablich Center on base.

“We are excited to have them and I feel very confident and strong that our team together will be good for the whole base populous,” said King.
