85th EIS welcomes new commander

KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. --

Lt. Col. Nelson Caraballo, incoming 85th Engineering Installation Squadron commander, assumed command from Lt. Col. Jennifer Carns, outgoing 85th EIS commander, during a change of command ceremony at Maltby Hall June 4, here.

Col. James Trachier, 38th Cyberspace Engineering Installation Group commander, presided over the ceremony.

Caraballo was the 55th Strategic Communications Squadron director of operations at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska before moving to Mississippi to take command of the 85th EIS.

Carns’ next assignment will be as the executive for Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Goldfein.
