Moulage helps make exercise scenarios realistic for first responders
Kim Blackwell, Mississippi State Department of Health emergency planner, and Sarah McCain, Mississippi State Department of Health emergency preparedness nurse, and U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Marissa Stove, 81st Diagnostic and Therapeutics Squadron diet technician, participate in moulage training at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, Sept. 28, 2022. The training was held in preparation for the upcoming mass casualty exercise in October. The purpose of adding moulage to simulated victims is to make the scenario as realistic as possible, so first responders can treat them and react appropriately according to the injuries.
