USAF Honor Guard Drill Team demonstration, film premiere

  • Published

Members of the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team will demonstrate their new routine at two major events here Feb. 7 and 9.

The first event is Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. in the Welch Theater. The team will demonstrate their four-man formation drill following the premiere of Drill Camp: Building the Ambassadors. The 45-minute documentary features members of the USAF Drill Team and how they work together to build their annual routine.

The second event is Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. on the Levitow Drill Pad, where the team will perform their entire routine – a professionally choreographed sequence of show-stopping weapon maneuvers, precise tosses, and complex weapon exchanges.

Keesler plays home to the USAF Drill Team each year. The team spends over a month here developing and perfecting their routine before performing at Air Force bases and community events worldwide.

Media interested in covering either event should RSVP to the Public Affairs office at (228) 377-1179 or email 81trw.pa@us.af.mil by 4 p.m. Feb. 6.
