Keesler hosts Community Partnership Program Priorities Workshop

  • Published

Keesler leaders will host an Air Force Community Partnership Program Priorities Workshop at 8 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, in the Bay Breeze Events Center, Keesler AFB, MS.

During the Priorities Workshop, brainstorming teams will brief their ideas to the leadership committee.  Once all ideas have been shared, the facilitation team will guide the group through a prioritization exercise to select the partnership ideas that will move forward in process.  The unchosen ideas will be recorded for consideration in future partnering efforts.  After the priorities have been agreed upon, the facilitation team will help the group establish a work group of local subject matter experts to conduct due diligence on their assigned partnership using AFCP provided references and resources.

The program is part of a larger Air Force Public-Public, Public-Private initiative to encourage installations and local communities to combine or improve resources or operating processes. Since October 2012, the Air Force’s AFCP program has generated more than 1,000 initiatives and 250 agreements that generated $32 million in Air Force benefits and $24 million in community benefits.

Expected to attend are Mississippi representatives from state and local communities and various civic leaders. To RSVP please contact the 81st Training Wing Public Affairs Office by noon Wednesday, Aug. 30, at 228-377-1179 or e-mail 81trw.pa@us.af.mil.
