Keesler leaders will host an Air Force Community Partnership event June 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Biloxi Civic Center.

This event will be a celebration of the progress that Keesler and the community have made in developing partnerships to positively affect both parties. This event will recognize the partnerships that have occurred as well as provide updates about partnership successes.

Teran Judd, Director of the Air Force Community Partnership and Air Force Encroachment, Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Installations, Headquarters United States Air Force, will speak about the community partnership program.

During previous Air Force Community Partnership workshops, the group prioritized and selected nine initiatives on which to focus community partnership efforts. During the Agreements Workshop, facilitation teams crafted their agreements as well as developed workbooks and checklists toward finalizing the nine initiatives.

This program is part of a larger Air Force Public-Public, Public-Private initiative to encourage installations and local communities to combine or improve resources or operating processes. Since October 2012, the Air Force’s AFCP program has generated more than 1,000 initiatives and 250 agreements that generated $32 million in Air Force benefits and $24 million in community benefits.

Expected to attend are Mississippi representatives from state and local communities and various civic leaders.

Media is invited to cover this event. Please RSVP to the 81st Training Wing Public Affairs Office by 4 p.m., Tuesday, June 5, at 228-377-1179 or e-mail 81trw.pa@us.af.mil.
