Beginning April 10, Keesler Air Force Base will limit access to specific areas on base. Only personnel with operation critical badges are allowed into the sectored off location.

The Commissary, Keesler Medical Center, Exchange and Shoppette will still be accessible without operation critical badges. Traffic barriers, signs and personnel will direct traffic to the locations they are authorized.

The Zone Transition Points (ZTP) on First Street, Meadows Drive, and Chappie James Avenue will be manned for vehicle traffic from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday – Friday.  The zone transition point on Ploesti Drive will be manned for vehicle traffic from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday – Sunday.

Please have your OpCrit badge or letter ready when you approach the ZTPs.  The Zone Controls  will be checking for this identification.

If you have a non-OpCrit Airman who needs access to a DFAC in the Green Zone, they will use their military ID and notify the Zone Controls they are going to the DFAC only.

Both Pass Rd. and White Ave. Gates are still open to access the base.

Members who do not have operation critical badges are required to work from home with guidance from leadership for proper check-in or telework procedures.

These measures were put in place to ensure the critical training mission on Keesler continues and to slow the spread of the virus in the community.

Team Keesler remains at Health Protection Condition (HPCON) Charlie.
