Keesler kicked off Dragon Blitz at the 81st Training Support Squadron on March 28.

Dragon Blitz, an event designed to connect Keesler personnel with helping agencies, set up tables and offered their information to 81st TRSS members in a single, cohesive effort.

“The intent behind this is for the helping agencies to connect with people at a grassroots level,” said Jeff Bankoske, Resilience and Community Support coordinator. “We know that not everyone can get out of their offices, get off the podium or even get out of class to seek out a service. So, we set in their workplace at the end of the day to give them the chance to become familiar with what we do.”

The event was designed to be casual, with Chaplain Services, Family Advocacy, Military and Family Readiness Center, Equal Opportunity, Sexual Assault and Prevention Response, Mental Health and more offering snacks, conversation and information.

“We envision this as a low-pressure environment where people can become familiar with our services,” said Bankoske. “We’re teaching people to be leaders, and as a leader you never know when you’re going to need help for yourself or for your peers. We want to make sure you know where to find it.”
